School Resource Officer (SRO) Program

District 204 has a long-standing partnership with local law enforcement to  ensure a safe and orderly environment in which learning can occur. The School Resource Officer (SRO) Program is intended to promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students, staff and other members of the school community. Our SRO program provides District 204 administrators with law enforcement resources and expertise to assist with maintaining safety, security, and order in the school environment and to bridge the gap to related community services. Working collaboratively with our law enforcement partners through the SRO Program helps to ensure that no student’s right to receive an education is jeopardized by violence or disruption.
