Student Tardies/Late Arrivals

Every effort should be made to ensure students arrive at school prior to the 9:05 bell (9:15 Wednesday). Tardy students miss parts of the morning routine and late entry causes interruptions to the class.

If a student arrives a few minutes late in the morning, they should come to the office for a tardy pass. If a student is more than 10 minutes late, a parent/guardian needs to come to the office to sign-in the student. Students returning to school after an appointment also need to be signed in at the office. Thank you!

Indian Prairie CARES

With support from Edward-Elmhurst Community Investment Fund IPSD is able to offer FREE counseling to our families starting September 26th.

Private therapists (not affiliated or employed by District 204) will be available at four schools (Georgetown Elementary, Longwood Elementary, Fischer Middle and Granger Middle) on Tuesday evenings from 5 pm-8 pm.

Forgotten Items – Procedures

In consultation with District Safety & Security Personnel, we have developed the procedures summarized below:

• Students are expected to bring lunch with them in the morning or order hot lunch. If your child forgets their lunch, it must be brought to school before 11:00. If a student doesn’t have a lunch at 11:00, they will be directed to select a hot lunch.
• Forgotten items may be dropped off on the cart outside of door #1. Parents do not need to ring the bell. Items should be clearly marked with name and class. Items will be retrieved from the cart at 10:00 and 11:00.
• Please note, we do not interrupt class for forgotten items. Folders and papers will go in the teacher’s mailbox. Lunches will go to the lunchroom. Other items will be delivered as time allows.
• “Forgotten Item” drop-off ends at 11:00.
