Community Service

Fry will hold its annual Candy Drive the week of November 6–10.  Please bring any extra/unwanted wrapped candy in a ziplock bag to be delivered to your child's teacher. This year the candy will be donated to our very own Waubonsie Warrior Wearhouse (school store).  On Fridays the school store is open to all high school students and they can pick 2 pieces of candy as a special treat. 

 

PTA Meeting

Join us for our next PTA meeting on Friday, November 17th at 9:30am in the STEM Lab. We will be discussing all current and upcoming events happening at Fry! Hope to see you there!

 

All Pro Dad

Attention All Dads!

We're thrilled to invite you to the upcoming All Pro Dad meeting on November 17th, a monthly gathering designed for dads (or any loving guardian) to connect and engage with their children in meaningful conversations and activities. This month, we're exploring the important topic of Contentment! With contentment, we not only accept the situation we’re in but are glad to be in it. A person who is content makes the most of their circumstances and has a hard time finding reasons to complain.

🕗 Time: 8:00 a.m.

📍 Location: Multi-Purpose Room

For just $5 per family, you'll enjoy a tasty breakfast with donuts, fruit, bagels, juice and plenty of coffee for the dads (or any adventurous students). Plus, don't miss out on our regular raffle drawing where lucky students have the chance to win gift cards!

This gathering provides the perfect opportunity for dads and guardians to immerse themselves in their child's school life, nurturing stronger relationships and creating lasting memories. If you've never attended before, this is your chance to see what All Pro Dad is all about!

Bingo

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Last year’s Fry Bingo Night was a huge success, due in large part to all of the parents and families that donated their time to this super fun event. We hope you will consider helping out this year by signing up on our Volunteer Request Form. Shifts are 45 minutes to allow for plenty of time to join in on the fun with your family. As a reminder, Bingo Night is Wednesday, November 29 from 6:30-8:00p.

ALSO: do you know someone who would make a great Emcee for this year's event? If so, please have them submit their interest via email to loriellenterrell@gmail.com.

 

Reflections

Thank you to all of our fry students that submitted their fabulous artwork! Fry had a total of 16 submissions that will be moving on to the district level for judging. If your child made a submission, you should have received an email alerting you as to the status of their submission. 

 

Staff Appreciation

The Staff Appreciation & Hospitality Committee has a lot of fun things planned this semester to make sure the amazing staff at Fry knows how much we appreciate them.

Art Awareness

We’re excited to announce that Art Awareness volunteer opportunities are now open. Please click on the Sign-Up Genius below to volunteer. Only one parent is allowed to volunteer each month in their child's classroom, so sign up quickly if you are interested. Winter Wishes

Hello Everyone! Our Winter Wishes program begins on Wednesday and runs through Dec. 1. In this program we're asking people to buy gift cards for the families of our district who could use the support. For added flexibility this year, in addition to the $25 gift cards to Jewel, Target, Walmart, and Meijer, people can make a cash donation (minimum amount is $5) to Winter Wishes and we'll aggregate the cash donations to buy even more gift cards. Please use the attached graphics and wording to advertise this wonderful program!
