Fry PTA Announcements 12-4-23

Fry PTA Announcements for 12/4/23

Would you like your child to explore virtues such as friendship, kindness, self-respect, and resourcefulness through the joy of reading and sharing with their friends? Junior Great Books (JGB) is a 9 week book club for 2nd to 5th graders that explores these character-building topics through short stories relevant to each grade level during weekly small group gatherings that last for about 35 minutes each.  JGB will run on Wednesdays from 1/24/24 to 3/20/24 during lunch.

  • Class sizes are limited, so families are encouraged to quickly fill out the registration form for their student to ensure their spot in the group. Please fill out a separate form for each child.
  • Please, also consider volunteering to lead a small group with your child/children. It’s great fun and a minimal time commitment with lots of support! All materials are provided!

REGISTRATION and FEES: Please register for JGB by Friday, December 15th

Registration Form for Adults and Youth:

We use specific books for JGB.

  • If you will be ordering a new book, please submit your payment for the $25 fee per student (which includes the $20 fee for the new book and the $5 participation fee) immediately after completing the registration form for each student.
  • If you already have your own JGB book copy specific to your child’s grade level, please submit your payment for the $5 participation fee per student immediately after completing the registration form for each student.
  • If you are requesting one of our limited used book copies on a first come, first serve basis ($5 total fee), please wait to submit your payment until you have been notified that you will be receiving a used book for each student.

PAYMENTS can be made by cash or check payable to FRY PTA. Simply send the payment to school with your child in an envelope with their full name and class.
