5Essentials Survey – We need your help!!!

Parents across Illinois once again have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of your child’s school as it relates to the important elements of school effectiveness.

On behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago. All survey responses will be kept confidential. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20 percent of parents take the survey. We have hit 95% for our student surveys and 85% for staff, but we are below the requirement for the parent survey. This impacts our school report card! Currently, the Fry Parent response rate is 13%. If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school.

To take this short survey:

  1. Visit 5 Essentials Survey Link
  2. Type and select “Dupage” as "County." (The county is the location of the school district's main office.)
  3. Type Fry into the "School" field

Thank you for your support!

Parent Teacher Conferences

We will have a Parent Teacher Conference Day on Thursday, February 29th.  Conferences will take place at Fry from 1:00-8:00. This conference day is designed for teachers and parents to meet on an “as-needed” basis.  Not all students will have conferences scheduled.

As there are limited spots available, teachers have already invited parents to attend conferences. If your child’s teacher contacted you for an appointment, please work with them to finalize your time.  If you have not been contacted by your child’s teacher, a conference has not been requested.

We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing our collaboration!
