Fry Class Information
The PTA recognizes that families may want to be able to contact classmate's families for the purposes of play dates, birthday parties, etc. The school is not able to release confidential student information. As a service, the PTA is putting together a class information sheet for each class. If you would like to be included, please fill out the google form below now.

Chess Club
We are excited to return to Fry School to run the chess club for the 20th year! Anyone from beginners to advanced players is welcome to join. No chess knowledge is required. Each week, students can play, make new friends, and have a chess lesson and one-on-one coaching. Lessons will cover openings, middle games, endgames, tactics, and positional ideas. The chess Club is not just about playing; it's about learning and growing intellectually in a fun and exciting way.
Anyone can try the first class for free. To do so, please email blair@illinoischessteachers with your name, grade, school, and phone number.
Spring Fling
Lots of new and exciting things happening with our largest fundraiser of the year. Spring Fling will now be the “Fry Winter Carnival” held on January 24th, 2025! The Planning Committee has some fantastic ideas in the works that will require both parent and student involvement. This event is always a favorite for our kids but we will need our parents help to make this a success!
Those who have already signed up for “Gifts of Time”, thank you. We will be in contact in the next week for our first planning meeting. For those that would like to volunteer in some capacity, this is your chance. We will be holding several in-person and virtual meetings over the coming months.
Fry parents! We did not forget about you. In addition to a crazy night of games and sugar for the kids, this year we will be holding a “Parents Night Out” in the Spring. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents in the Fry community and put a face to the name. Stay tuned for more details and Save The Date, this will be one you will not want to miss!
