Spring Brook's Weekly Message - February 12, 2024

Hello Spring Brook Parents -

Illinois 5Essentials Survey

Parents, students, and teachers across Illinois will once again have an opportunity to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of your child’s school as it relates to the important elements of school effectiveness.

On behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago. All survey responses will be kept confidential. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20 percent of parents take the survey. Currently, 8% of parents have completed the survey. If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school.

To take this short survey:

1. Visit 5 Essentials Survey Link

2. Type and select “Dupage” as "County." (The county is the location of the school district's main office.)

3. Type your school's name into the "School" field and select your school.

Adult Social – Saturday, February 24

The PTA is hosting the Adult Social on Sat., Feb. 24. Get ready for our annual bash that rallies parents and the Spring Brook community for a fun evening championing the kids!

Our community's generosity is incredible! The event is sponsored by DJK Custom Homes, M/I Homes, GradePlusTrade, and Brea Khalid of Baird & Warner. Many local businesses have also donated items for the silent auction. Please take a look at the attached flyer for details/auction items.

We want to share this special night with as many parents, neighbors, and teachers as possible! Tickets are $45/for one or $75/for two. Purchase tickets in Memberhub through Thurs., Feb. 22, or at the door the evening of the event (for an additional $5).

We need donations of bottles of wine for the wine pull. If you are willing to donate wine, please drop it off in the cooler at your convenience at Jackie Schneider's home: 590 Hempstead Ave.
