District 204 board honors outstanding volunteers with 2025 Inspire Awards

In keeping with its mission to inspire all students to achieve their greatest potential, Indian Prairie School District school board members recognized four remarkable award recipients at the May 22 Board of Education meeting.
The district’s top honor, the Inspire Award, was presented to Janet Ziarko-Andersen, a special education assistant at Spring Brook Elementary. Janet was celebrated for her warmth, creativity, and lasting impact on students.
Matthew White, orchestra teacher at Scullen Middle School, received the Impact Award for his dedication, teaching over 2,500 students while fostering a classroom culture of kindness and emotional growth.
Aashka Mehta, a junior at Neuqua Valley High School, was honored with the Ignite Award for her leadership in the Girls in STEM club and her impressive record of community service.
The Illuminate Award went to Crossroads Community Church, recognized for its meaningful support of Gombert Elementary students by providing clothing, supplies, and snacks that help remove barriers to learning.
