Writers Week Oct 2-4 Features Author Dashka Slater

In conjunction with the English Department, Metea Valley will be hosting author Dashka Slater on Oct. 4th. Her visit is part of a weeklong celebration of writing which will also feature writers of all types who are current students, alumni and educators. Dashka is the author of The 57 Bus (a novel used in our English classes) and her latest book is Accountable: The True Story of a Racist Social Media Account and the Teenagers Whose Lives It Changed among others. She will be speaking and meeting with students during 4th and 5th period. You can order an personalized copy of either book at this link and it will be delivered after her visit on Oct. 4th.
