    Yearly Curriculum

    Kindergarten 
    • Locomotor: Demonstrate run, gallop, hop, accent, and communication.
    • Object Control: Demonstrate push/pull object, underhand roll.
    • Physical Fitness: Develop flexibility.
    • Social Skills: Following directions and sharing.
    • Body Management: Identify body parts, body actions, body planes, use of space, personal space, and general space.
     
    Grade 1 
    • Locomotor: Demonstrate run, gallop, hop, accent, horizontal jump, communication, slide, and skip.
    • Object Control: Demonstrate underhand roll, kick.
    • Physical Fitness: Develop flexibility.
    • Social Skills: Following directions, use and care for equipment, work as a team.
    • Body Management: Identify shapes, sizes, body planes, use of space, and general space. Demonstrate log roll and shoulder roll.

    Grade 2
    • Locomotor: Demonstrate horizontal and vertical jump, hop, slide, and skip.
    • Object Control: Demonstrate bounce/dribble, under and overhand throw, and kick.
    • Physical Fitness: Develop leg strength, flexibility, and abdominal strength.
    • Social Skills: Use and care for equipment and work as a team.
    • Body Management: Identify shapes and sizes. Demonstrate log roll, shoulder roll, rope jump, tumbling, and inverted balances
     
    Grade 3
    • Locomotor: Demonstrate horizontal and vertical jump.
    • Object Control: Demonstrate bounce/dribble, under and overhand throw, catch/fielding, and dribble (feet).
    • Physical Fitness: Develop leg strength, flexibility, abdominal strength, and posture.
    • Social Skills: Work as a team, deal with winning and losing, develop sportsmanship.
    • Body Management: Demonstrate shoulder roll, rope jump, tumbling, and inverted balances.

    Grade 4
    • Object Control: Demonstrate overhand throw, side arm strike, catch/fielding, chest pass, and dribble (feet).
    • Physical Fitness: Develop leg strength, abdominal strength, arm/shoulder strength, holding/carrying, lifting/lowering, pulling/pushing, and posture.
    • Social Skills: Deal with winning and losing and develop sportsmanship.
    • Body Management: Demonstrate rope jumping, tumbling, inverted balances, and partner stunts.
    • Game, Sport, and Leisure Skills: Soccer: dribble and single-leg trap. Softball: base running, pitching, fielding, and batting.

    Grade 5
    • Object Control: Demonstrate catch/fielding, underhand volleyball serve, side arm strike, chest pass, bounce pass, and overhead strike.
    • Physical Fitness: Develop leg strength, arm/shoulder strength, holding/carrying, lifting/lowering, pulling/pushing, posture, and personal conditioning.
    • Social Skills: Develop sportsmanship.
    • Body Management: Demonstrate rope climbing, partner stunts, dynamic balances, and stunt combination.
    • Game, Sport, and Leisure Skills: Soccer: dribble, single-leg trap, foot trap, chest trap, tackle, corner kick. Softball: base running, pitching, fielding, and batting.
