• Presenting Views

District 204 residents are welcomed and encouraged to present their views to the Board. By hearing from the public, the Board is able to make better-informed decisions. Public Comment Procedure

We encourage you to submit your views in writing by emailing the board at board-members@ipsd.org.

  • Questions or Concerns

The Board's role is to establish policy and set goals and objectives for the district. The staff is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our schools and the district. Therefore, the best place to direct questions and concerns is to the individuals directly involved and responsible, usually your teacher and/or principal. It is there that most problems can be quickly and productively resolved.

  • See text below for a written version of this chart.

Chain of Command

  • A list of school staff members and contact information is available on each school’s website. Contact information for assistant superintendents and the superintendent is available here.

If a concern remains, please contact the appropriate district office administrator. If you have exhausted those available resources, the Board is available to hear your concerns. However, please note that the Board is responsible for policy and policy-related matters and has no authority to hear appeals for most decisions made in the buildings.
