Builta Parent-Teacher Association
The Builta PTA is a group of parents working together to give our students a rich educational experience. We support Builta Elementary School in their goals and efforts to provide an academically rich learning environment that is safe, caring and welcoming.
We invite your participation in the PTA. There are various methods to be involved, ensuring your child maximizes knowledge and education. You can:- Become a PTA member
- Purchase a PTA Membership (The cost of membership is $10 and helps support school and family events.)
- Chair a committee
- Volunteer at PTA events within the school
- Sponsor and/or attend an event
- Assist with fundraising
- Become a PTA member

We aim to create a collaborative partnership with parents and teachers at Builta Elementary that results in creating an environment of mutual respect and focus on catering to the unique needs of all children.

Benefits
The Builta Elementary PTA conducts significant activities through its various committees that support Builta Elementary students and teachers. Members of the PTA can take advantage of special pricing or additional perks in a majority of these events. Additional information can be obtained through the “Programs” section of this website.
- At the beginning of the year the PTA provides for assignment notebooks for its students and conducts back to school events
- School directory for all PTA members
- Social events like monster bash, bingo nights, restaurant nights
- Educational events like STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) activities, science fair, art awareness, multicultural events
- School improvement by donating a projection screen to make assemblies better, sign maintenance, outdoor classroom in collaboration with IPEF
- Multiple teacher appreciation events, staff breakfast

Membership
Builta PTA can be more effective and stronger if all the parents and teachers become members. Members will have a say in the addition of value to their child’s experience while at Builta. PTA members have the ability to attend general meetings and influence programs planned and delivered by the PTA. In addition the programs are designed to provide a perk to the members most of the time. The membership fees are nominal and is designed to provide a sense of inclusion for parents. Please reach out to the Board if you have specific questions. We look forward to welcoming you as a member.

- As a service to the busy parents of Builta, the PTA provides pre-packed kits that have all the supplies on the list. With the exception of gym shoes and backpacks, you can get all your supplies in one handy box that you can then use to store all the treasures from the school year. Don’t bother going from store to store to get the best deal. Order your kit in the Spring and pick up in August prior to the start of the new school year!
