      5 Essentials Survey ~ Your feedback is requested via participation in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. The purpose of this anonymous online survey is to understand parent/guardian perceptions in the areas of connectedness, satisfaction, interaction, involvement, and quality. Your participation and ratings on this survey are confidential; the district will only receive school level results if at least 20% of parents/guardians participate. Cowlishaw currently only has 8% completion rate!

      Illinois Assessment of Readiness ~ Starting Monday, March 10th, all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be participating in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness or, alternatively, the Dynamic Learning Maps assessment. To help your student perform their best, please encourage them to get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast before the test.

    • Mary Lou Cowlishaw Elementary School is located in the Ivy Ridge Subdivision east of Route 59 between Ogden Avenue and 75th Street.  Approximately 650 students attend in grades K-5.  The Cowlishaw School community is enriched by the strong collaboration between parents, students, teachers and staff.
