Box Tops for Education
Have you downloaded the Box Tops for Education app yet?
May Watts is participating in Box Tops, which means that you can earn cash with grocery products you already buy to help our school.
All you have to do is scan your grocery receipts from your phone with these three easy steps:
Step 1: Download the BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION app on your phone.
Step 2: Go grocery shopping either in-person or online and buy participating products.
Step 3: Scan your receipt to the app. Whether a paper receipt or a screenshot of your digital receipt, the app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your designated school's earnings online.
The more people that participate, the bigger the impact we can make here at May Watts.

Dine and Donate:
Let's raise some dough! Our first Dine & Donate of the year will be Wednesday, September 27th from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Panera located at 491 Route 59 (near Hobby Lobby). 25% of all orders using our flyer will be donated back to the PTA! New this year - dine-in, drive-thru, pick-up and delivery orders count. Use the promo code "fund4U" at checkout. Take a night off from making dinner and support our May Watts PTA!
Going Gaga for May Watts Fun Run:
The May Watts PTA Fun Run is back! This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 4 - 6 p.m. at the school. This year, we are going GAGA for May Watts and funds raised will be used to purchase a GaGa Ball Pit for the school to be used during recess, PE, as a class incentive and more! This event is open to Watts students, families and friends, plus community members. The easy course around May Watts Pond is open to runners and walkers. Volunteers will dust participants with bright colors as they move through the color stations. At the end of the course, expect to be coated in safe food-grade color powder, all while raising funds for a great cause!
Registration is $20 per person through September (prices increase $5 on October 1st). All participants will receive a t-shirt and students can fundraise to score additional prizes. Plus, if we hit our goal of raising $15,000, students will vote on a costume for Mrs. Kempski to wear on a school day! You don't want to miss this event! Register now at www.maywattsfunrun.com.

4TH and 5TH Grade Track and Field
This super fun event will be held again this year on October 5th in the gym and field during school hours for grades 4 and 5....and can only happen with your help! Please check out the Sign Up Genius and help where you can. No prior experience or ability required just the hope for a fun day for the kids.

Popcorn Forms
As we approach the time of year when May Watts students get to enjoy freshly popped popcorn with their class, we are asking that you please submit the permission form for your child so they are not missing out! These forms were sent home with your child and also provided at curriculum night so please get them to your teacher as soon as possible. Please also note that the popcorn contains no dairy so any dairy restrictions should not prevent your child from participating. Sign up for volunteer days will be coming soon!
PTA Grant Request Process
Parents, The PTA sponsors an annual process where teachers and parents can make requests for grant money from the PTA for things that YOU think would improve the learning environment for our kids. If you have an idea for the school that you'd like the PTA to sponsor, please use the attached form to give us some more information. We love to hear from parents and teachers about what we can do to make our school an even better place. Grants are due October 31st. Thank you! Grant Request Form

This meeting will be a fantastic opportunity for you to connect with other parents, learn about the exciting events and initiatives we have in store, and receive updates directly from Mrs. Kempski about all the wonderful happenings at school. We believe that your active participation can make a real difference, and your presence at this meeting will be greatly appreciated. To make the evening even more enjoyable, light refreshments will be served.
