Important School Information
Book Fair
Let’s send students into summer with great books to read! We’re excited to hold our second bookfair this year. With our bookfairs we hope to offer students new books to read as well as provide necessary funds to support the school’s Library Media Center (LMC). With the profits of this bookfair we will continue to purchase the newest books students love!
Three ways to shop!
1. Students can shop during the school day. This year classes will have an assigned day/time to shop, but if a student is absent or forgets they can tell their teacher and come outside of that time (see below).
2. Parents can shop outside of school hours (see below).
3. Parents can shop online anytime! Go to http://www.abcfairs.com/. When shopping online, you can choose to have your items shipped to your house (shipping fee), pick up from the Anderson’s Store (free) or sent to the school (free). Enter our School Name and School City in the delivery information section.
We accept cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover & Debit Cards and Apple Pay.
Please make checks payable to May Watts
Sales tax will be charged during this fair.
Student Shopping Days
All classes will come for a bookfair preview on either 4/29, 4/30 or 5/1. Students will bring a wish list home. Please feel free to send this back with your child when they are shopping, with approved items circled.
If an item is out of stock, we can either order it for your child or they can choose something else, please let them know what you’d like them to do in this event.

A Note from The Watts World Changers Service Club
We are excited to share with you all our Watts World Changers Service Club has been busy doing this year, making a difference in our school and community! The students began by making cards for Veterans and collecting candy for Military Service personnel stationed throughout the world. Their second project was making 12 fleece blankets donated to Parkview’s Safe Family Ministry, a non-for-profit organization in Glen Ellyn, IL that provides warmth and comfort to those in need. Finally, the students donated their time to read to classrooms on World Read Aloud Day as well as helped our busy teachers with classroom bulletin boards and other projects around the school. We are very proud of your children and our students. They are hard workers with enthusiastic attitudes determined to make a positive impact in their sphere of influence!
We would like to thank everyone who donated candy and fleece for our first two projects. We are reaching out to the May Watts Community for another donation. The Watts World Changers will be creating Birthday Bags to donate to local food pantries.
For the Birthday Bags we are asking for the following items:
Cake mixes
Frosting
Disposable cake pans
Candles
Balloons
Stickers
Generic Birthday Cards
Party plates/Napkins
Large Gift Bags to fit all of the items
When we return from Spring Break, there will be a donation box in the main office lobby labeled “Service Club Birthday Bag Donations”. Please drop-off items no later than Friday, May 10th. Watts World Changers will be assembling the Birthday Bags at our May meeting. Thank you for your support!
Appreciatively,
Mrs. Pierce and Mrs. Donaldson
