• A Little Gombert History

The Peter M. Gombert School is a community formed primarily of students who previously attended McCarty School. The school is named to honor a well-respected and admired Associate Superintendent of Indian Prairie District 204. The Gombert school colors are blue and white with a green accent, and our mascot is the Gator.

    Message from our Principal

    Welcome to Gombert!
Gombert Elementary has a long history of being a wonderful neighborhood elementary school. We are fortunate to have great facilities and an outstanding staff. We also have one of the most active and involved PTAs in the area. Our greatest asset is our incredible student body. Our students represent many nations and languages. They come together with a curiosity and excitement for learning. Since our student body is so diverse, the students have the opportunity of learning about each other’s heritage and sharing their cultures and traditions.
The school includes an amazing Learning Media Center with books and materials that students can check out weekly. We also have a stage that allows staff and students to present both vocal and instrumental programs. The teachers at Gombert provide students with learning experiences like studying raptors and having them visit the school, performing scientific investigations, writing their own stories and poems, creating their own totem poles and heritage dolls, learning new physical activities that strengthen their bodies, creating their own works of art, learning songs and dances from other countries, and of course learning to read and do math.
All of us at Gombert are proud of our students and work hard to make their school experience the best that it can be. Check out the rest of our website and you’ll find information about our PTA, our staff and current tips and ideas for parents.
    Sincerely,
    Jeremy Ricken, Principal
