Deb Brdar has been involved with many volunteer activities for more than twenty years. Because of her extensive involvement in the Waubonsie Valley High School PTA, she is being honored as the September BMO District 204 Volunteer of the Month.

Deb has ten children who all attend or have attended District 204 schools. Her volunteerism includes being a classroom volunteer and room parent. Deb has chaperoned countless field trips and has assisted in the end of the year events at both Fry Elementary and Scullen Middle School. At Scullen, she has also been the Chairperson of the Scullen Shark Store. Her involvement at Waubonsie Valley includes Senior Sailabration Committee Chair, Co-Chair of the Warrior Football Club, and she is currently the Director of Concessions for the Waubonsie Valley Boosters.

Deb volunteers because she loves being a part of her children’s and their friends’ lives. She wants to instill a sense of pride and community for her children in their schools.

BMO is helping District 204 recognize one volunteer each month who has generously given his or her time to support District 204’s students and schools. To celebrate these outstanding volunteers, BMO is donating $1,000 to the volunteer’s school.
