  • Mr. Michael Zeman, Principal

    Dear Longwood Elementary Community,
I am incredibly honored and excited to be the principal of Longwood Elementary. I look forward to getting to know each of you and your children. The responsibility of providing a safe and supportive learning environment is not something that I take for granted. I will work to earn your trust so that together we can guide your children to reach their highest academic levels while ensuring they also build the skills necessary to be respectful and responsible members of their school community.

I am coming to Longwood Elementary from Centennial Elementary School where I have been the principal for seven years. Before that I was the assistant principal at Plano Middle School after teaching for eight years in LaGrange. During that time I have come to develop a strong belief that every student has the ability to succeed and deserves the very best from every adult in their life. I look forward to earning my place in this amazing school community so we can continue to give our students the best opportunity to learn and find future success.

My nearly 20 years in education has allowed me to have a deep appreciation for the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” An entire community of people must provide for and interact positively with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. This can be challenging in today’s world where we are all faced with increasingly busy schedules and societal demands, however, it also means that it is more important than ever for us to work together to support your children so they can have more options in the future than we could have ever imagined. I am honored that I get to take on this challenge with you and look forward to strengthening the impact of the Longwood School community.

  • Mrs. Jennifer Campen, Student Services Coordinator

    Hello, Longwood Families!

I am honored to be part of the Longwood Pride! My journey in Indian Prairie School District 204 began as a Kindergarten student at McCarty Elementary, and I’m proud to be a K–12 graduate of IPSD 204. I was fortunate to complete my student teaching in the district while earning my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and English from Carthage College.

For the past 17 years, I have had the privilege of serving our community in a variety of roles, including classroom teacher, Project Arrow teacher, and Accelerated Math teacher at Graham, Welch, and Cowlishaw Elementary Schools. In 2017, I joined the Longwood community as Interventionist and became the proud Student Services Coordinator in 2020.

I am passionate about lifelong learning and committed to both facilitating and engaging in professional growth opportunities. I hold a Master’s degree in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia University Chicago and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lewis University.

I believe wholeheartedly in the power of community and collaboration. At Longwood, we are "Better Together"—and it is this strong school-home connection that provides every student the opportunity to thrive. I look forward to partnering with you and celebrating the growth, joy, and success our students bring to our Pride each day. Thank you for your continued support and dedication!
