Spring Brook Elementary School

Mr. Duym has been a music educator in District 204 since 2007. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University, and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Concordia University. Mr. Duym also has Learning Behavior Specialist certification.

 

In addition to teaching all K-5 students music at Spring Brook, he also runs the Spring Brook Singers, a before-school singing group (choir) for 4th and 5th graders. Mr. Duym loves teaching because he loves seeing students get excited about creating, performing, and learning new things about music. In his free time, Mr. Duym enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, performing bass and guitar around the local area, and watching sports. He stays active in the community by teaching guitar and bass, performing at a church, and volunteering.
