Mrs. Buresh has been teaching at Spring Brook for over ten years and previously taught at Builta and White Eagle. Originally from Naperville, Mrs. Buresh has a Bachelor’s Degree from North Central College and a Reading Specialist Degree from Olivet Nazarene University. Her favorite part of teaching is helping students learn to love reading and is a passionate reader herself. In her free time, Mrs. Buresh enjoys spending time with her sons, Andrew and Finn, and husband while vacationing in Disney World, watching movies, and just hanging around.
Mrs. Evan's Bio
My name is Dawn Evans, 4th Grade Teacher at Spring Brook Elementary. I began my teaching career in 1999 at Spring Brook and have enjoyed being there ever since. I have taught both 3rd and 4th grade. I have a Masters Degree in Reading from Lewis University. Also, I am a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT). Having my past students come back and visit after years of being gone is the highest compliment I can ask for. When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family especially with my family. I love gardening and working on my flower beds outside. Inside I love to decorate and organize.
Miss VanBoekel's Bio
Miss VanBoekel is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where she received her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She grew up being a huge Illini fan and loved her time at UIUC! Miss VanBoekel enjoys spending time at the beach, being with family, and long walks (especially with her dog, Gracie!) She is so excited to begin her journey in 4th grade here at Spring Brook!
Ms. Wagner Bio
I grew up in Lombard, IL and attended Glenbard East High School. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois @ Urbana/Champaign. Since then I have also earned my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and completed all classes toward my administrative degree from North Central College in Naperville. I began teaching at Spring Brook in 1997 and have taught third grade, fourth grade, and have been the interventionist. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and my 2 cavalier king Charles spaniels. I also enjoy running, biking, playing tennis, reading and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
