• Mrs. Rebecca Nickel has been teaching ELL for the past 16 years.  Mrs. Nickel graduated with a B.A. in elementary education from Bethel College, IN.  She continued on to receive a masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction while earning an endorsement to teach English as a Second Language from National Louis University. Mrs. Nickel went back to school to receive an endorsement in special education.  Currently, Mrs. Nickel works with third, fourth and fifth graders at Owen.  She works with students by pulling them outside of the classroom to work on the domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing within the content areas.  This year, Mrs. Nickel is co-teaching with Mrs. Klassen's during her ELA block (3K). If your child is in Mrs. Klassen's class, they will receive their ELL minutes within the classroom this year.

    Mrs. Carla Puccini has 27 years of teaching experience. She taught first and second grade for over 20 years. This is Mrs. Puccini's 6th year teaching ELL. Mrs. Puccini has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with endorsements in ELL, language arts and social sciences. She will be working with all 1st and 2nd grade ELL students this year.

    Mrs. Jorie Snyder has been teaching for 15 years. This is her 7th year teaching ELL. Mrs. Snyder has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with endorsements in social studies, English and ELL. This year, Mrs. Snyder will be working with all kindergarten ELL students.
