Volunteer of the Month: February

Reported by on 2/20/20

David Fox can be seen frequently at Neuqua Valley High School helping with music and athletic events. Because of his dedication to supporting students and staff, he is being named the BMO Harris Bank District 204 Volunteer of the Month.

David has two daughters who are a sophomore and junior at Neuqua Valley and a son who graduated last year. He has been fortunate to be a stay-at-home parent since his children were born which has given him the opportunity to donate his time to support the wonderful experiences that Neuqua Valley and District 204 offer to students and families. David has been involved in the Theatre Parents Association, Choir Parents Association, Wildcat Wear, boys and girls swim and dive team and Senior Spectacular.

His nomination states, “His commitment of time to Neuqua Valley High School has made a difference in many lives and his kindness and caring to all has made the greatest impact. Anytime he is in the building, which is frequently, he always offers to help in any way needed.” In fact, David has been mistaken for Neuqua Valley staff because he is in the building so often.

David volunteers because he has seen his children grow immensely as they have learned how to compete and perform in front of others and he wants to do his part to help other children experience that type of growth. He says he gets back more than he gives and he is lucky to be able to spend his time volunteering and being able to contribute to Neuqua Valley’s wonderful educational community.
