Volunteer of the Month: May

Reported by on 5/19/22

Angie Pine has been an amazing volunteer at Longwood Elementary School. Because she is a tireless advocate for students and a dedicated volunteer, she is being named the BMO Harris Bank District 204 Volunteer of the Month.

Angie has four children, three of whom attend Longwood Elementary. She serves as the Longwood PTA Executive Board President and is currently serving her second term. She has also served one term as Vice President, and two terms as Secretary.

Angie’s nomination states “Angie is a model volunteer in our community. She is attentive, friendly, always willing to help, and remembers everyone. We would not be the organization we are today, after COVID, without her leadership. Her dedication as a volunteer goes beyond just her involvement on the PTA, she is a vital member of the Longwood community.”

Angie’s mom was very influential in why she volunteers. Angie says, “Growing up she always volunteered and helped where she was needed. I saw the impact of her actions in everything she did, and all the lives she touched. I feel like volunteering is a way for me to keep her legacy alive, and a way for me to give back to my community.”
