ISBE releases school report card data

Reported by on 10/27/22

This week, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released the 2021-22 Illinois School Report Cards. All Indian Prairie School District 204 (IPSD 204) schools received a summative designation of “exemplary” or “commendable.” The total number of schools receiving an “exemplary” designation increased to 15, up from 11 the last time the report card data was published in 2018-19, and a significant increase from six in the 2017-18 school year. Exemplary schools are those performing in the top 10 percent of schools statewide with no underperforming student groups.

IPSD 204 students continue to perform better than state averages in both ELA, math, and science. Additionally, though not a part of the report card, we are very pleased with our recent AP results. The number of students taking AP exams as well as those achieving a score of 3 or higher also increased and reflected pre-pandemic data.

“These results reflect the hard work that our staff is doing daily serving our children and community,” said Dr. Adrian Talley, superintendent of IPSD 204. “We could not have these results without their dedication, commitment, and energy.”

While we are pleased with many aspects of the school report card, we understand that there is room for improvement across all indicators. We continue to implement strategies and provide resources to support and elevate student learning and engagement.

District administrators will present the results of the school report card data in detail at the November 7 board of education meeting. View Individual School Report Cards here.
