Hello all!

We hope all that attended Boys Choice last week had a great time! Thank you to everyone who came out. Special thanks to Kristin Kirchner for all her time and efforts in planning such a fun night! Here are some dates to put on your calendar…

Graham Disability Speaker - Tuesday April 26th

Nancy Goodfellow and Michelle Anderson will be presenting to students on disability awareness and the acceptance of differences. The pair have spoken to over 10,000 children in the Chicagoland area, focusing on all intellectual disabilities and differences and emphasizing that the more a child understands, the more they accept. Nancy Goodfellow is a parent of a child with Down syndrome and has been a public speaker and advocate for over 15 years. Michelle Anderson is a young woman with Down syndrome, who tells the kids about growing up with a disability and that she has a great life. The presentation will cover the importance of treating everyone with respect, the power of hurtful words, proper ways to ask questions, and how to reach out and befriend someone who may have significant differences. Be sure to ask your child what they learned!

25th Anniversary Reception

Save the Date!! Graham will be hosting an Anniversary Reception on Wednesday May 18th from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Stop by anytime to mingle with alumni, your current and old teachers, and have dinner. Teacher Appreciation Week

We are in the process of planning for this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week! This year’s “Graham takes the Gold” theme will help celebrate our amazing teachers/staff with a great week May 2-6th. We will need your help to make it a success! If you are willing to donate to help make this week a success it would be much appreciated. The staff will be celebrated with a week of meals and snacks. This is always such a special event for the PTA to put on and we thank you for your support! Here is the link to make a donation.

District Teacher Appreciation Opportunity

The Indian Prairie Parents’ Council (IPPC) is partnering with local businesses to recognize District 204 teachers and staff members for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2 – 6. Parents and community members can honor school personnel who have made a difference this year, while also supporting local businesses and students in need. Each $25 donation allows you to honor your favorite teacher with a heartfelt note and a $20 gift card from a local business that you select from the list provided. Your note and gift card will be delivered to your teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week. $5 of your donation will help support the IPPC annual school supply drive to assist students in need. Orders are being taken now through April 22, 2022. There is no limit on the number of teachers or staff members you can recognize. Cash donations to the school supply drive can also be made in honor of a teacher or staff member.
