• Indian Prairie School District 204 has placed a bond referendum on the November 5, 2024 ballot to address its highest-priority facility and safety needs, without requiring a tax rate increase.

  • “I believe we're at a crossroads right now. Several other neighboring schools and other districts that I visit are making upgrades to their facilities, to their infrastructure, that our district has not been able to do. It's more of just trying to tread water.” - Principal Jason Stipp (WVHS), Infrastructure Improvements

  • Districtwide Facility Improvements Without a Tax Rate Increase

    • The District will be able to issue $420 million of bonds without a tax rate increase. This is possible since the District will pay off outstanding debt.
    • The size of the tax rate that is expiring soon is the same size as the tax rate associated with the new referendum. One cancels out the other, which is how the improvements can be done without a tax rate increase.
    • All 33 District 204 schools and more than 25,000 students would benefit.
