The word allergy is used to describe the body's over-reaction to something that it views as foreign. Allergies are common and a leading cause of chronic illness. Some allergens result in minor symptoms; however, some may result in serious reactions that require emergency care. If your child has been diagnosed with an allergy and has specific needed precautions or response plans, please contact the Licensed School Nurse or Registered Nurse assigned to your child's school prior to the start of the school year. This will allow time to review plans and have any necessary precautions ready for the first day of attendance. If there are questions with regard to any menu item served in the cafeterias, please refer to the District's Food Services Link noted below or reach out to a member of the Food Services team.
